About CIS

Canberra Islamic School (CIS) has been successfully running in Canberra since 1974 – that is over 30 years ago! The classes are held every Sunday during the ACT school term between 10am-1:15pm at CIC Monash. Previously (until August 2019), classes were being held at the Canberra Masjid.

The school has been running successfully, Alhamdullilah, through the cooperation of the Muslim community of Canberra.

Admissions are open in the first week of each Term. Please note that your child has to have started kindergarten to start Level 1 at CIS.
